Library Cards:

Turner Public Library patron cards are offered free of charge to Turner residents. We ask that parents help us determine the age at which your child is ready for their own card, however for children under the age of 16, we require an adult signature.

If you live in Leeds or Greene, and have a child enrolled in MSAD 52, you may obtain a TPL patron card free of charge for your child.

Non-residents of Turner  may obtain a TPL patron card for a $20.00 annual fee.

Please come into the library in person to register for your patron card. Acceptable proof of residency for Turner residents includes:

  • Driver's License with current address

  • Current utility bill

  • Lease or property tax information

Cards expire one year from date of issuance, but we are always happy to renew cards when you visit us in person, request by telephone, or send us an email at info@turnerpubliclibrary.org.

Should you forget to bring your library card with you, you may still borrow library materials. We may ask to confirm your identity for your security, as well as the library's.

Other links and resources...

At Turner Public Library, we're here to help. Sometimes, the best help we can provide is a link to another source of information.

Here are a few of our favorites:

MaineCat Statewide Library Catalog:

This link will take you the statewide library catalog.  All libraries that loan books through Interlibrary loan list their catalogs on this site. If you cannot find the book you want in our library, try here. We can request it for you.  https://mainecat.maine.edu/

The New York Public Library Research Portal:

Some of the collections are accessible only to NYPL cardholders, however, there is still a wealth of information that is available to all. https://www.nypl.org/research

The Library of Congress Research and Reference Portal

The Library of Congress is our national library, and the nation's largest collection print and digital works. We suggest you start with the Library of Congress's Guide for Researchers found on the linked page. http://www.loc.gov/rr/

Maine State Government Agencies Directory:

This link will take you to a linked directory of the agencies which make up our state government. From there, you can link to a specific agency's website. http://www.maine.gov/portal/government/state-agencies.php
