Music for MavisWe are happy to join in the community effort that has become known as Music for Mavis. It was the wish of Mavis Leavitt Varney that a gazebo would be erected on the campus of the Leavitt Institute Building. The gazebo will be a fitting tribute to Mavis, and also a great asset to the community and to the library. Our Story Hour volunteers are already dreaming of holding summer programs there.The Music for Mavis Committee plans to have the Gazebo open in time for the Fourth of July Festival on the Green. The Committee has made a promising start in raising the needed $15,000, and has started a list of willing volunteers. If you would like to help by donating labor, please call Paula Varney Anderson at 224 7441.
